Director of the Advanced BodySculpt Centre otherwise known as Obengfo Hospital, Dr Dominic Obeng-Andoh, has revealed that he was trained for cosmetic surgery for two weeks at a health facility in the US.

“I was trained for two weeks for cosmetic surgery and I can confidently say that I am doing well as a medical doctor. If a person is a medical doctor it doesn’t matter the years and you don’t need a thousand years to become a good doctor,” he said.

“I was trained at the School of Medical Sciences at the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. I graduated in 1997. I had my house job training there and then at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital. Then I worked as a Medical Officer at Korle Bu,” he revealed.

“I have been in private practice since 2000 but a few years back, I went to Florida to have this specialised training in liposuction. I did the basic, intermediary and the advanced training in liposuction. I got a specific training in high definition liposuction through the use of Vaser. I went to Florida to train lipos, at centre for health promotion, a health institution in the US,” he explained his road to becoming a cosmetic surgeon.

Dr Dominic Obeng-Andoh was speaking exclusively on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen Thursday.

According to Dr Obeng-Andoh, his clientele base stretches beyond Ghana because of the success rates of his centre’s operations.

According to him, in his line of profession, he has undertaken about a thousand surgeries, all devoid of complications.
