Mrs Bawumia joins NPP Washington chapter for end-of-summer cookout

Members of the Washington DC chapter of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the NPP Loyal Ladies, joined forces on September 28, 2019, to organise a get together aimed at bringing members together to network.
The wife of the Vice-President, Mrs Samira Bawumia, was the guest of honour at the event which took place in Alexandria-Washington, USA.

Programmes

Addressing the audience, Mrs Bawumia said the government was determined to serve and transform Ghana and ensure proper accountability to Ghanaians.

She shared with them some of the government’s policies and programmes aimed at enhancing the lives of Ghanaians, both home and abroad.

She further stressed that the government was determined to build a robust, strong, and the fastest growing economy, not only in Africa but the whole world. She added that every sector of the economy had seen tremendous progress and next year, Ghanaians will see rapid development.

She commended them for upholding and supporting “The Year of Return”, and making it a very successful initiative to boost the tourism sector.

Support

The group, in return, pledged their unwavering support to the party and called on others in the diaspora to also support the transformation agenda of the NPP government.

Among the invited guests were the Managing Director of the State Housing Company, Mr Kwabena Ampofo Appiah, President of the NPP Loyal Ladies, Ms Adwoa Pomaah Sanwu, as well as Mr Fiifi Mensah, Chairman, Bantama Constituency,and Mr Charles Nii Teiko Tagoe, a Presidential Staffer.
