Listen: Pastor’s wife stripped naked by church ushers

A pastor’s wife has reportedly been stripped naked by church ushers during an altercation over the weekend.

The victim, Salomey Sweetie Bensah, was humiliated after she stormed the Penile Word Ministry and attempted to prevent her husband from marrying a prophetess.

This unfortunate incident happened at Kasoa Samanhyia in the Central region.

Narrating her ordeal to Adom News, the 35-year-old woman said another man of God gave her the tip-off.

When she rushed to the church, she saw her husband, Prophet George Bensah getting married to a prophetess called Rose Coffie.

Mrs. Bensah, who has been married to the pastor for the past 12 years with three children, said she could not control her anger.

But when she attempted to disrupt the service, she said some ushers in the church dragged her out and stripped her naked.

Her friend, Rose Afful, who accompanied her to the church, was also allegedly assaulted by the church ushers.

She said her husband gave the order for her to be beaten for disgracing him in public.

“I was beaten in the church for stopping the wedding; even my young son got his share of the beatings,” she bemoaned.

However, when reached to comment, Prophet Bensah described as false the allegation being leveled against him by his wife.

He explained that his estranged wife had left their matrimonial home for years, thus, her conduct was very strange.

“My wife was not beaten in the church; all the allegations are false. She just wants to dent my image,” Prophet Bensah added.

Meanwhile, the case has been reported to the Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit at Amasaman Police Station.
