COCOBOD HQ staff test positive for COVID-19; office closed down

The management of the Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) has said its head office will be closed down on Wednesday, 8 July 2020 for fumigation after some workers tested positive for COVID-19.

According to a press release on Monday, the closure “has become necessary due to the mass testing the organization is currently undertaking, which has resulted in some staff members testing positive for COVID-19.”

“All necessary arrangements have been made for the affected staff to receive the necessary medical attention and contact-tracing is currently ongoing to enforce quarantine and isolation measures,” the statement added.

“The fumigation will ensure the safety of the other staff is not compromised once work resumes on Monday, 13 July 2020,” the statement said.

COCOBOD has, therefore, urged all individuals and companies with urgent business transactions to use its online services.
