The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) will on Monday, March 20, 2017, mark the one-year anniversary of the demise of the party's former National Chairman, Jake Otanka Obetsebi-Lamptey. He passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2016 in London.

A cloud of uncertainty hangs over Parliament’s ability to approve all of President Akufo-Addo's Deputy Ministerial nominees before the house rises at the end of the month.The vetting of the 54 nominees by the Appointment Committee is expected to commence next Friday, which is just six days before the house rises on March 31.

Ghana's Tuberculosis (TB) burden is on the upsurge as 14,632 cases were reported in 2016 as against 9,714 in 2015. This means 2016 has seen record jump of 4,918 cases. Out of the 14,632 cases recorded in 2016, 699 were children as Ghana records new TB cases every day.

Authorities at Gnani, a community in the Yendi Municipality of the Northen Region have implemented a bye-law that imposes a fine on any male who impregnates a teenage girl in the community. Per the bye-law, any man who impregnates a girl of school-going-age will be fined GH¢250 while male teachers will pay GH¢300.
