Parliament is proposing a ten year period during which a passport in Ghana can be deemed to be valid. After the ten year period the passport will be deemed to have expired and must be renewed. This proposal is one of many others, Parliament's Committee on Foreign Affairs suggested to the Director of Passports Alexander Ntrakwa, when he appeared before them.

Former Minister of Interior has disclosed he had a personal reservation about the leadership style of former president, John Dramani Mahama. According to Mark Own Woyongo, though President Mahama tried to satisfied everybody, there were times the former president fell short of quality leadership.

The NDC seems to be under siege following the humiliating defeat of the party to the NPP. The pinnacle of their lost is not in the just ended elections, but in the months and possibly years after. President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo says he inherited a fragile economy from his predecessor, but would work around the clock to stabilise the situation. Central Regional Chairman for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Allotey Jacobs, has said the party will collapse if he starts talking. He alluded to the fact that the defeat of the party has infuriated the rank and file of the party- who felt the party failed to executive its agenda for victory. He said ''If I start talking, NDC will collapse.
